Your conversion tracking is not working. It is usually one of four things.
Conversions that fire on page load. Duplicates counted twice. A value of $1 on every action. I find which one you have, live, in 20 minutes.
- Google Ads and GA4 report different conversion numbers and nobody has been able to reconcile them.
- Your conversion count looks healthy but the phone is not ringing any more than before.
- Every conversion in the account is worth the same — usually a flat $1, which is the default nobody changed.
Recognise one of those? The link is almost always the same one.
A diagram of your four links with the broken one marked, the reason it broke, and what it takes to fix.
Twenty minutes, live, on a screen share. Sent to you afterwards so you keep it.
Your website. Nothing to install, no account access required for the first look.
This is not a sales call and not a generic audit template. I look at your actual tag setup and tell you what is firing when.
Across nine US home services accounts I audited. Nobody chose that number — it is the default value in the box, and it is what the bidding was trained on.
Search Console was never linked to the ad account. One click, free, never done — so nobody could tell which clicks they were already getting for nothing.
Same budget, same campaigns. What changed was which conversions the account was allowed to count.
Client names withheld. Figures are from real audits, not estimates.
›What do you actually check?
Whether the conversion fires on submit or on page load, whether the same action is counted twice, what value each action carries, which action the bidding is optimising toward, and whether the click ID survives to your CRM.
›Do I need to install anything first?
No. Most of it is visible from outside the account. Bring a URL and I will show you what happens when a lead comes through it.
›Does this cover server-side tracking?
Yes. If you have server-side set up I check whether it is actually sending, which is a surprisingly common failure — the container exists, the events do not arrive.
›What if the fix is simple?
Then I tell you how to do it yourself. A fair number of these are a checkbox and a value, and you do not need to hire anyone for that.
›Is it really 20 minutes?
Yes. Finding the break is fast because there are only so many ways it breaks. Fixing it properly takes longer, and that is a separate conversation you are not obliged to have.
Twenty minutes to find out which link is broken.
You keep the map whether or not we work together. If nothing is broken I will tell you that too.
